The Distillerie de l ’Arbre Sec creates a vermouth by collaborating with Frédéric Brouca, winemaker in Faugères, Southern France. This vermouth has been elaborated with a Carignan natural wine fortified by an addition of gin. The wild thyme, rosemary, lavender, mugwort and citrus bring the aromatic complexity to this extra dry vermouth and reflect perfectly the uniqueness of the Languedoc terroir. It can be tasted neat, with ice, with tonic, or even as a negroni cocktail when blended with our signature gin

AROMATIC PROFILE
Juniper, mirabelle plum, hyssop, blackcurrant pepper.
NOSE
Expression of ripe cherries, summer fruits, and wild flowers.
MOUTHFEEL
The structure is slightly tannic , round and rich. It fee ls spicy, warm and fruity. There are lovely notes of fresh orange and lemon peel.
FINISH
The final note is persistent with hints of flower.

The label of this vermouth, named « Le Fou » - the Fool in English- has been illustrated by Hugues Véron, a French painter and sculptor from le Mans.
The Fool is a tarot card from the Marseilles deck, that symbolises the start of a journey and the infinite potential. It is represented by a young man, often with a bundle and a dog, walking towards the edge of a cliff. It embodies the spontaneity and the spirit of adventure.
The term "extra dry" means this vermouth is dryer than usual (dry). It contains less than 30 grams of sugar per liter.
This style of vermouth brings focus on the herbal and spicy tones, created by the maceration of herbs and botanicals during its elaboration.
