PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Charlotte's Ink is the only permanent gin from the Arbre Sec Distillery located in Paris. Distilled on a 150-liter hybrid copper still, it is produced in small batches and made from French botanicals from organic crops and wild harvests.
Charlotte's Ink explores various nuances of the vegetable palette: herbaceous, floral, root and iodine. The result is a balanced gin with vegetable and lemon notes, with a slight resinous touch provided by juniper and Douglas pine needles.
BEHIND THE LABEL
Its name “Charlotte's Ink” is inspired by the two founders of the distillery, Charlotte Bartoli and Charlotte Buisson-Dackow.
The bottle is a reference to the art of tattooing, the plants are screen-printed on the glass like ink on the skin. The original designs were made by tattoo artist Léa the Falcon.
“Charlotte's Ink” explores the vegetable universe with multiple nuances: fresh herbaceous notes, deep resinous accents as well as iodine touches, thus offering a rich and nuanced tasting.
AROMA PROFILE
NOSE
Fresh and vegetal. The nose opens onto juniper berries and then evokes pine needles, lemon zests and lemon thyme.
MOUTH
A nice balance between the vegetable palette and a discreet and pleasant contribution of more saline notes (olive and sea crist). Unctuous aftertaste (fig leaf).
FINAL
Long and balanced. It is reminiscent of juniper and Douglas needles.
